Sun Tyre & Wheel Systems, part of the $7 billion TVS Group of India, today announced the construction of a 3rd plant for the manufacture of solid industrial tyres and related products in South India.
Sun Tyre & Wheel Systems (SUN-TWS) today announced construction of its 3rd plant for the manufacture of solid industrial tyres and related products at a new campus in South India.
Soon after completing their acquisition of Watts Lanka Private Limited in Sri Lanka in 2010, SUN-TWS has rapidly expanded capacity of Solid Resilient and Press On Band tyres at this location, and this year will see additional capacity for Solid Skid Steer tyres as well.
In spite of the continuous augmentation of productive assets, SUN-TWS still has extended lead times across a number of its key price-performance products, leading the Board of Directors of the Holding company to approve the construction of a 3rd plant which will become operational in the 4th quarter of this year.
