Mitas once again defended the supplier rating of four A’s it received from Fendt (AGCO) since 2004. This year’s award is particularly significant as was awarded specifically for deliveries of Premium tyres. Mitas started to deliver only Premium tyres to the Fendt tractor plant in Marktoberdorf, as a replacement for Continental tyres, from January 2015. In giving its rating, AGCO evaluates supplier quality, logistics, customer service and environmental protection – and Mitas received the highest “A” grade in all categories.
“For the 11th consecutive year, Mitas received an overall A rating for deliveries of farm tyres to Fendt, but this year’s award means something more for us. It symbolises the success of the Premium launch, and it is a proof point of the excellent quality of Premium tyres,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ sales and marketing director.
“We had an exceptional year with AGCO. In addition to the highest four A’s supplier rating from Fendt, we were named by AGCO as its Supplier of the Year 2015 in the category of engineering and innovation,” said Jens Steinhardt, Mitas key account manager for AGCO.
Premium tyres are standard fitment in four out of seven Fendt’s model series, e.g. Fendt 900-930 Vario. Currently, Mitas Premium for European markets includes several leading tread designs besides SFT and brand-new VF tyres HC 1000, HC 2000 and HC 3000, namely also SFT IF (Improved Flexion technology), CHO (Cyclic Harvesting Operation), SST (Silent Speed Tyre), AC 65, HC 70, AC70 T, AC85 Row Crop, AC90 Row Crop and AGRITERRA.
